Meth testing in Toowoomba
Toowoomba is the hub of the Darling Downs, with a steady rental market and plenty of rural and lifestyle properties on its fringes. We sample across the city and surrounding Downs towns.
Rural blocks often include sheds, workshops and caravans. Where there is any suggestion of manufacture, we sample outbuildings as well as the house.

Queensland rules to know
No Queensland law requires a meth test before a property is sold or leased. Since 1 August 2025, sellers must give buyers a Seller Disclosure Statement under the Property Law Act 2023 (Qld) before contract. That statement is a disclosure document, not a contamination test, so buyers still need to do their own checks.
For rentals, the lessor must hand over premises that are fit to live in and in good repair, and keep them that way. A positive meth result is strong evidence a home may not meet that standard, which is why many Queensland property managers now test between tenancies and keep the report on file.
See meth contamination laws by state. General information only, not legal advice.
