Meth testing in Cairns
Cairns has a large tourism and short-stay market alongside long-term rentals for families and seasonal workers. We sample across the city, the northern beaches, the southern growth corridor and the Tablelands.
Holiday-let owners in Cairns and Port Douglas often combine kits with periodic professional sampling. See Airbnb meth testing.

Queensland rules to know
No Queensland law requires a meth test before a property is sold or leased. Since 1 August 2025, sellers must give buyers a Seller Disclosure Statement under the Property Law Act 2023 (Qld) before contract. That statement is a disclosure document, not a contamination test, so buyers still need to do their own checks.
For rentals, the lessor must hand over premises that are fit to live in and in good repair, and keep them that way. A positive meth result is strong evidence a home may not meet that standard, which is why many Queensland property managers now test between tenancies and keep the report on file.
