Meth testing in Townsville
Townsville is North Queensland's largest city, with a defence population, a university and a big rental market. We sample across Townsville, Thuringowa, Magnetic Island and the Burdekin.
Properties closed up in the wet season can also develop mould. We can sample for both on one visit.

Queensland rules to know
No Queensland law requires a meth test before a property is sold or leased. Since 1 August 2025, sellers must give buyers a Seller Disclosure Statement under the Property Law Act 2023 (Qld) before contract. That statement is a disclosure document, not a contamination test, so buyers still need to do their own checks.
For rentals, the lessor must hand over premises that are fit to live in and in good repair, and keep them that way. A positive meth result is strong evidence a home may not meet that standard, which is why many Queensland property managers now test between tenancies and keep the report on file.
See meth contamination laws by state. General information only, not legal advice.
